OUR STORY

Mine Brewing Company was born in 2019 with one simple goal: brew the kind of beer we'd want to drink ourselves.

After months of recipe development, tasting sessions (the hard part), and plenty of trial and error, we were ready to launch in 2020. As it turned out, opening a brewery in the middle of one of the toughest years the pub industry has ever faced wasn't exactly ideal—but we stuck with it.

Our first brewery was a humble 20ft shipping container. Small, but packed with ambition. It was home until late 2024, when we finally upgraded our brewhouse and moved into a disused building just across the road. Bigger kit, more beer, same mindset.

We're proudly based in Consols, St Ives, an area steeped in Cornwall's mining history. The landscape, the stories and the heritage inspire everything we do—from our brewery name to many of the beers we brew.

Mine Brewing Company was founded by family and friends—James & Elise Worrall, Shane & Janet Andrews, and Andre Hitchinson—who turned a shared passion for great beer into a brewery built on quality, creativity and community.

Every recipe is brewed, tested and tweaked until we're genuinely excited to pour ourselves a pint. If we wouldn't drink it, we won't brew it.

No gimmicks. No shortcuts. Just proper beer, brewed in St Ives, Cornwall.
